A Small Cafe in Paris

Someday I’ll see you in a small café in Paris,
Where we won’t be bound by constraints.
Your music, my words – we’ll talk endlessly
Unbothered by the heavy rains.

Your guitar, it plays a soothing tune
Like an ocean wave that washes over me
I talk to you about my ideas on life
You capture my words in your melody

I dream about a day so far
A sunset, while we sit
The day turns into night
We’re still talking over a candle lit.

I paint this picture in my head
The pitter patter of the rain on the sidewalk
Our fingers touch, I feel a glow
Not wanting to ever end our talk.

Your eyes they see through mine
A connection right to the soul
They were right, those people who said
There is someone out there who makes you whole.

As you strum your guitar strings
I hum a soft tune with a smile
A soft silence falls over us
The world blurs out, in this short while.

We walk through the busy streets
Hand in hand, towards the park
We lie down on the cold wet grass and stare at the skies
Looking at the stars twinkling in the dark.

This moment, where I am in your arms
A day that none can compare
A night so beautiful, your scent engulfs me
Your fingers running through my hair.

As I fall asleep in your arms
I know that this is what they mean by bliss
To sleep by your side, to wake up to you
To taste your soft lips as we kiss.

Someday I’ll see you in a small café in Paris,
Where we won’t be bound by constraints.
Your music, my words – we’ll talk endlessly
Unbothered by the heavy rains.
